How Disable Advantage+ Enhancements works

From your creatives to published Meta ads, step by step.

  1. 1

    Set your policy once

Choose On, Off, or Customize in Settings. Off opts out of every eligible enhancement on every future launch by default.

  2. 2

    Opt-out spec on every creative

At launch, Volume Creatives attaches the per-feature opt-out spec to each ad creative sent to Meta, so nothing is left to chance.

  3. 3

    Read back what applied

After publish, it reads the applied-features list from Meta and confirms the count, giving you a verified '0 enhancements applied' guarantee.

  4. 4

    Override per launch

Need a specific enhancement on for one test? Customize it for that launch without changing your account default.

What are Meta Advantage+ creative enhancements?

Advantage+ creative enhancements are automatic modifications Meta applies to your ads: image touch-ups, brightness and contrast changes, text improvements, image uncrop, music, visual overlays, and auto-crop. They are enabled by default in Ads Manager and can distort your creative, change your copy, or alter the asset your team carefully produced. Volume Creatives opts out of every eligible enhancement on every creative so your ads run exactly as designed.

How to disable Advantage+ enhancements automatically

On every ad creative it sends to Meta, Volume Creatives attaches a degrees-of-freedom spec that sets each eligible creative feature to OPT_OUT. Because Meta's eligible-feature list changes across API versions, the opt-out set is kept current so no newly added enhancement slips through. This is applied automatically, so you do not have to toggle anything in Ads Manager ad by ad.

The verified read-back

Opting out is not enough on its own. You want proof. After a launch, Volume Creatives reads the applied-features list back from Meta and surfaces a verified count, so you get a '0 enhancements applied' confirmation rather than trusting that the toggle worked. This guardrail is unique among bulk launchers and is the core of the trust the product is built on.

Frequently asked questions

Can you really turn off all Advantage+ enhancements?+

Yes. Volume Creatives sets every eligible creative feature to OPT_OUT on each ad creative, and keeps the opt-out list current with Meta's API so newly added enhancements are covered too.

Didn't Meta remove the ability to disable enhancements?+

No. Meta removed the single bundle toggle and replaced it with per-feature control. Volume Creatives opts out of each individual feature, so disabling them all still works.

How do I know the enhancements were actually disabled?+

After publishing, the tool reads the applied-features list back from Meta and shows a verified count, a '0 enhancements applied' guarantee rather than a hopeful toggle.

Can I leave one enhancement on if I want to test it?+

Yes. Use Customize to enable specific enhancements for a single launch without changing your account-wide default of Off.

Do I have to set this for every ad?+

No. Set your enhancement policy once in Settings and it applies automatically to every launch and every creative.
